TOK TRANSIT AWARDED MAINTENANCE SERVICE CONTRACT FOR VIVA BUS RAPID TRANSIT SERVICE

Tok Transit is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Transit Operations and Maintenance Service Contract for the VIVA Bus Rapid Transit Service by the Regional Municipality of York.
Tok Transit secured the seven-year contract with a three-year extension option based on its RFP submission, which scored the highest technical and financial score among the seven proposals received by York Region from national and international transportation companies.

NORTHERN DIVISION OF YORK REGION TRANSIT MAINTENANCE CONTRACT EXTENDED

Regional Municipality of York has extended Tok Transit’s Operations and Maintenance Contract of the North Division of York Region Transit until April 30, 2020.
TOK TRANSIT WINS FORT McMURRAY TRANSIT CONTRACT

Tok Transit Limited has been awarded the contract to operate and maintain the Standard and Specialized Transit System for the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, also known as Fort McMurray, in Alberta.
Under the 15-year contract term, plus an additional 5-year renewal option — Tok Transit will provide the facility, procure capital assets, manage transit planning, fares, marketing and customer service.
Tok Transit will operate and maintain 50 Standard and 9 Specialized municipally owned transit buses, and will hire 132 full and part-time employees to manage the area’s system.
The service starts on July 1, 2013.
TOK TRANSIT AWARDED YRT/VIVA NORTH DIVISION CONTRACT

TOK Transit Limited announced today it has been awarded a four-year contract to operate conventional transit services in YRT/Viva’s North Division.
TOK Transit expects to have some North Division routes in operation February 4, 2012, and will work with York Region staff to phase-in additional services as quickly as possible.
TOK Transit is pleased to have the opportunity to serve York Region residents and contribute to the YRT/Viva system. As an experienced transit operator, TOK will provide first-class transit service for York Region with over 30 years of experience behind us.
To operate the North Division service, Tok Transit will be hiring 120 employees consisting of bus operators, mechanics, and maintenance and management staff. Employment opportunities can be viewed on our career page.
TOKMAKJIAN INC. AWARDED TOWN OF FORT ERIE TRANSIT SERVICES CONTRACT

Tokmakjian Inc. announced today it has been awarded a five-year contract, with a three-year optional renewal, to operate and maintain public transit services for the Town of Fort Erie, Ontario.
Town of Fort Erie Council selected Tokmakjian Inc. over the incumbent contractor based on the technical proposal submitted and the related transit experience that met the Town’s requirements and expectations overall.
